Beckwood Press Company Expands Fenton, Missouri, Plant
10/11/2017
Scheduled for completion in June 2018, Beckwood’s new building will feature heavy crane capability with extended ceiling heights, 10,000+ sq. ft. of office and meeting space, and 4,800 sq. ft. for demonstration machinery.
According to company officials, new building will be located less than one mile north of their current location, keeping Beckwood in close proximity to key customers and strategic business partners while offering easy access to Interstates 44 and 270. Employee and equipment moves are expected to begin in the summer of 2018 and should be completed by the end of July.
“As a technology leader in the manufacturing industry, Beckwood is committed to remaining on the forefront of innovation,” said Beckwood President, Jeffrey Debus. “Our new home in the Fenton Logistics Park will increase production capacity by nearly 30% and give us a modern, inspiring space to collaborate and engineer our robust forming equipment.”
The 294-acre site, which has been vacant for nearly 10 years, was the former home of Chrysler’s truck and mini-van assembly division. According to property owner KP Development, when completed, Fenton Logistics Park will employ an estimated 3000 workers and reflect a total investment of more than $500 million in the St. Louis region.
