11/15/2013
A subsidiary of Avanco's Energy & Environment division, xperion's Columbus Region facility will focus on the production of composite automotive tanks for the compressed natural gas sector.
"The Columbus Region is an ideal location for our new U.S. facility because of its strong reputation in the manufacturing sector, and also its proximity to key automotive customers," said Roland Schillo, Avanco, the parent company of xperion. "We look forward to growing our operations and workforce in Licking County."
"xperion's decision to open a new U.S. facility in Heath speaks to the Region's ability to attract global companies and provide the right mix of customer and workforce access," said Dan Evers, Director of Economic Development, GROW Licking County Community Improvement Corporation. "These committed jobs are a welcome addition to Licking County, and we hope to grow that number even more by facilitating xperion's success."
"The cutting-edge technology xperion brings with this project furthers Ohio's position as a leading supplier of compressed natural gas vessels to the rapidly growing markets in North and South America," said John Minor, President and Chief Investment Officer, JobsOhio. "Landing xperion for Ohio was a collaborative effort with our regional partner Columbus 2020 along with partners at the local level."
