Improving Expands Columbus, Ohio, Operations Center
06/28/2016
According to Columbus 2020, Dallas-based Improving’s $170,000 investment in Columbus will cover building costs, IT costs, and training. The company is a complete IT services firm committed to remaining tech-flexible, while still providing the highest degree of expertise to its clients. The company has had a presence in the Columbus Region since 2011 when it acquired Circleville-based IT consultant The Sophic Group Inc.
“We are excited to continue to grow our company’s presence in Columbus,” says Mark Kovacevich, President of Improving. “We will continue to take advantage of the low operating costs, the availability of talented tech workers and the city’s strategic location to do so.”
“Improving’s expansion in Columbus is a testament to our robust IT sector,” says Columbus City Mayor Andrew J. Ginther. “We are thrilled to be able to meet the staffing needs of a company as well-regarded as Improving, and we look forward to helping them grow here.”
The Columbus Region's IT industry is part of a thriving science and technology sector, Columbus 2020 officials said. IT employers in the Columbus Region benefit from a leading workforce that is generated by top-ranked educational programs and a thriving IT ecosystem that ranges from consulting startups to Fortune 500 corporations. With a 60 percent greater concentration of IT workers than similarly-sized cities, Columbus ranks as the number three city in the nation for tech jobs.
