Electro-Spec, Inc. to Locate Manufacturing Plant in Lexington, South Carolina
07/13/2017
Serving the aerospace, medical, telecommunications and automotive industries, the company also provides heat treating and passivating services, which removes impurities from parts and provides resistance to oxidation and corrosion.
As an incentive the Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved a $100,000 Closing Fund grant to Lexington County to assist with the costs of building upfits.
“With an emphasis on advanced manufacturing to serve the aerospace, automotive, telecommunications and medical industries, we couldn’t think of a better place to conduct our first expansion than the State of South Carolina. In a state that embraces technology and innovation, we believe that our expansion will allow us to become a world-class supplier for electroplating and surface finishing to many of the top companies in the world that currently call South Carolina home,” Electro-Spec, Inc. President Jeffrey D. Smith said.
“Companies like Electro-Spec continue to come to our state and invest in our people because of all that South Carolina has to offer. We are thankful for Electro-Spec’s decision to do business in Lexington County and look forward to what the future will bring for this fantastic company and its leadership,” said Governor Henry McMaster.
“South Carolina’s reputation as a manufacturing powerhouse continues to help us attract companies from around the world. We’re proud that Electro-Spec has selected Lexington County to establish its new operations, and we look forward to watching this partnership grow in the years to come,” Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt said.
