British-based Alexander Mann Solutions Chooses Cleveland, Ohio, As Its North American Headquarters

08/28/2012
Alexander Mann Solutions, a British-based international recruitment, staffing and HR management company, will establish its North American headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio.

The proposed project will support AMS clients worldwide and establish activities centered around talent sourcing and recruitment or HR administrative services, with expectations of creating about 300 full-time jobs in the region, Gov. John R. Kasich's office said. Officials from the firm did not want to disclose information about its US expansion plans until the process was completed.

According to Northeast Ohio economic development partnership's Regional Economic Development Report, the company was considering the Raleigh, North Carolina for its North American base of operations, and was in the process of conducting its due diligence, when it decided to make an estimated capital investment of $250,000 in a Cleveland operations center.

"With less than two-weeks notice, a team including JobsOhio, Team NEO, the Greater Cleveland Partnership and the City of Cleveland orchestrated a no-holds-barred site visit and networking event to convince the company of our region's economic vibrancy, " Team NEO said. "Team NEO brought together a group that included business owners, HR directors, universities, young professionals and economic development organizations to showcase our talented workforce and demonstrate the collaborative business environment. The plans worked thanks to the team's collective efforts and the region's red-carpet welcome. Alexander Mann Solutions committed to creating 300 jobs with a $12.9 million payroll in Northeast Ohio."

As an incentive, The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a 65 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
